Question banks let you create, organize, and reuse questions across courses.
What Are Question Banks?
Question banks are collections of questions organized by:
- Subject or topic
- Difficulty level
- Question type
- Learning objective
Creating a Question Bank
1. Go to Question Bank from the sidebar
2. Click "Create Category"
3. Name your category
4. Add questions to the category
Adding Questions
Manual Entry
1. Click "Add Question"
2. Select question type
3. Enter question and answers
4. Set point value
5. Add to category
Bulk Import
Import questions from:
- CSV files
- QTI packages
- Other courses
AI Generation
Use AI to generate questions:
1. Click "Generate with AI"
2. Provide topic and content
3. Select question types
4. Review and edit generated questions
Organizing Questions
Categories
Create hierarchical categories:
- Subject > Topic > Subtopic
- Course > Unit > Lesson
Tags
Add tags for filtering:
- Difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard
- Bloom's Level: Remember, Apply, Analyze
- Custom tags
Using Questions in Quizzes
Direct Selection
1. Create quiz
2. Click "Add from Bank"
3. Browse and select questions
4. Add to quiz
Random Selection
1. Click "Add Question Group"
2. Select category
3. Set number of questions
4. Questions pulled randomly for each student
Sharing Questions
Within Organization
- Questions available to all instructors
- Permission settings per category
Across Courses
- Reuse questions in multiple courses
