Assignments allow students to submit work for grading.
Creating an Assignment
1. Navigate to your course section
2. Click "Add Assignment"
3. Enter title and instructions
4. Configure settings
Assignment Settings
Submission Types
- File Upload: Documents, PDFs, etc.
- Text Entry: Online text box
- URL: Link to external work
- Media: Video/audio submissions
File Settings
- Allowed file types
- Maximum file size
- Number of files allowed
Due Dates
- Due Date: When work is due
- Available From: When assignment opens
- Available Until: Cutoff for submissions
Late Policy
- Accept late submissions
- Penalty percentage per day
- Grace period
Rubrics
Create rubrics for consistent grading:
Building a Rubric
1. Click "Add Rubric"
2. Define criteria (rows)
3. Add rating levels (columns)
4. Assign point values
Rubric Types
- Points: Specific point values
- Percentage: Percentage of total
Using Rubrics
- Grade by clicking ratings
- Add comments per criterion
- Students see detailed feedback

1. Open assignment
2. Click "Grade Submissions"
3. View each submission
4. Enter grade and feedback
